Frequently Asked Questions

Your truck’s warranty isn’t automatically voided by an Overland Tailor Tune (OTT) or any other aftermarket modification. This is largely due to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. This federal law states that a manufacturer can’t deny a warranty claim simply because you’ve modified your vehicle.

A dealership can deny a warranty claim if they can prove that your OTT tune directly caused the failure of a specific component. For example, if an engine or transmission component fails, and the dealership can definitively show the tune was the direct cause, they may deny coverage for that particular repair. However, if an unrelated part, like your infotainment system, has an issue, your tune wouldn’t be a valid reason to deny that warranty claim.
