The recommendations and work that we do at Commonwealth 4×4 exist to give you confidence on the trails and the ability to adventure further.
From suspension upgrades to roof top tents, we’ve used and installed them all. Let our team give you accurate answers to all of your questions whether it be by email, phone, text or with an in-person consultation in our shop. TLCA / KYTLCA
The TLCA Community is a rich and vibrant one that brings people together for the love of their Toyotas. TLCA Membership is open to anyone interested in Toyota 4 wheel drive vehicles. This includes all models of Land Cruisers, FJ Cruisers, 4Runners, Lexus LX and GX Series, and 4×4 trucks.
Our members are off-road enthusiasts that share our passion for the outdoors, and preserving them for future trail riders. They understand that enjoying off-road recreation is a privilege and support conservation efforts here in Kentucky as well as nationally by supporting organizations such as SFWDA and Tread Lightly!.
The purpose of the KYTLCA is to provide a social setting to explore, maintain, preserve and enjoy, with our fellow club members the inaccessible portions of the beautiful state of Kentucky. We strive to be available, when called upon, to help in emergencies where our 4 wheel drive vehicles and personnel are needed.
The Kentucky Toyota Land Cruiser Association (KYTLCA) is a regional chapter of the larger Toyota Land Cruiser Association (TLCA). As such, all members of the KYTLCA are required to be active members of the TLCA, and follow their guidelines in addition to ours.
Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway
The Byway was created for anyone in a capable 4WD vehicle to access the beauty of Eastern Kentucky. With your help we can maintain, improve and expand this wonderful trail system and guarantee its access for generations to come. Please remember when enjoying the outdoors in any capacity to always follow the “Tread Lightly” principles.
The Byway is a moderately difficult, high clearance route for licensed, street legal vehicles. It utilizes historic county roads around the Red River Gorge and Daniel Boone National Forest. It contains terrain surfaces varying between one third gravel, one third trail, and one third asphalt. It can be completed within a full day or two, depending on various factors.
